@adamclark1972uk How many people live in New Zealand? how many people live in the USA? Proportionately speaking more people play it in New Zealand than the USA. And the people who play rugby in the US are TYPICALLY very decent athletes who couldn't make it in other sports. I bet though if our best athletes played Rugby they would realize in a flash what a hell of a sport they're missing out on.

Actually, there are more registered senior male rugby players in the USA than there are in New Zealand. It's not about quantity but quality.

@gentamina That was the exact opposite of what i was saying. If you visited america you would be pleasantly surprised. My point was that with all of the excess money we have that is dumped into sports, if some of it was directed to rugby and marketing towards rugby also then many of our top tier athletes would play it. Most players on the American Eagles never stay there for more than a few seasons because they play other sports.

@fishyladd10 We're bad at it because we don't put any money into it and barely anyone plays it here. COnsidering how much money we put into entertainment we care about, if we were into it we could dominate the sport. Im american and play rugby and am gald its not so main stream here.

We were just using a different portion of the field. Using the light pole helps simulate the ball coming off the top of a lineout.
