Storm Hunter Jim Edds tangles with the deadly storm surge of Hurricane Isabel. Besides getting knocked down and pounded throughout the day by powerful waves, he almost bit the dust on one wave while shooting the downstairs of a house ripped to shreds by the surge. He was underwater for 15 seconds before finally popping up for air. Cameramen Geoff Mackley and Joe Morgan also me shot from the second floor deck of an adjacent house.

  • Why is this camera guy still standing there?

  • I always wonder why people choose to do this. The right thing to do is grab some alcohol and hunker down!
