Why do people always want to go lighter, sometimes going to light will get you in trouble in a survival situation, Unless you have alot of knowledge. And if your that out of shape that you can't handle alittle weight you should not be hiking. If you lost your lighter do you still know how to start a fire. I never use matches or lighters. Like i said it's knowledge that will keep you alive. I'm old fashioned i use the sterno system you people can keep ,your alcohol and gas stoves.

@TinSoIdier In this video we're talking about hiking. For pleasure.... not preparing for a survival situation. Hiking (not survival) is much more enjoyable when you pack light. By the way my husband and I are in great shape and work out 4 - 6 days every week. Thank you for watching ;) c

I have been using my snopeak gigapower auto stove for about 10 years... great little stove, but I have always wanted to build a stove. Great video, thanks for sharing!
