  • I didnt know you could have Mourning doves as pets! I want one! they're sooo cute!!

  • I don't know about other people, but they are not our pets. We have a bird feeder outside of our windows. At a time there are about 10 doves are feeding. They entertain us and our cats.

  • I'm sorry. My sincere condolences.

  • @PommeFrite it is possible to have on as a pet. i pulled it off. i also had i pet robin, sparrow, crow, and blue jay. but something strange though, they never grow to full size and their flying feathers never really grew in. but yes you can have them as pets just like white doves.

  • i heard that it's illegal to keep mourning doves as pets. you can't kill them, catch them, or keep them as pets.. well thats just what i heard, so it may not be ture :P

  • here in guatemala they are a delicious meal. We use to hunt a lot of these.

  • Lol, What a silly bird

  • I see those birds all over Las Vegas, they are a lot cleaner than regular pigeons,

  • Oh, well, that's just as good, I guess :)
