Hey, this is my second copy of this guitar, the other is Beltone branded, this one is a Melody. It has the same set-neck bolt-on hybrid thing going on that doesn't seem to be on the Teisco branded ones I've saw. My beltone vid was a real short quick clip that didn't really give the guitar as much credit as it deserves. I LOVE these guitars! Huge necks and huge sound! Listen to this thing! No effects, straight into my small 3 watt (or so) tube amp. the amp and guitar are a perfect pair. I can't say enough about it.
the neck is really fat isn't it?

@jks2
yes! not quite the size of a Harmony H44 or H62 neck (if you know those guitars) and has a slight V shape.

I'm not sure to be honest. It's not a particularly versatile guitar, having only a neck pickup. So I suppose it depends on what you want it for. I guess what I'm saying it it won't replace a Strat etc... but it does what it does VERY good.
You should also check to see if the one you're buying has a set neck, not a bolt-on. I've only played the set neck ones and they have nice sustain, I'd wouldn't imagine the bolt-on would.
Cheers!
