  • Great picks. You obviously know your films, and have given it thought. "My head would explode" - LOL!

  • @GabnDad Thanks! Haha I think it might if Colin Firth doesn't win. It's too predictable!

  • This has been a weird Oscar season for me. I've seen all the Best Picture nominees, and 18 of the 20 nominated performances (I'm missing Bardem and Kidman.) But to be honest, I think mostly everything nominated is pretty solid, but I haven't been really blown away by anything. lol I keep trying to think of 10 years from now, and what will really stand the test of time as great , and nothing is jumping out. One thing that would really please me is to see Jacki Weaver win. She was really awesome.

  • @colaguy29229 I'm not sure what will stand the test either. Maybe The Social Network but I'm bias for that movie haha. Toy Story 3? Possibly. Also Inception...not sure.

I haven't seen Bardem's performance either but Nicole Kidman was pretty great in Rabbit Hole in my opinion.

I'd either want Jacki Weaver or Hailee Stienfeld to win. It would be awesome if Weaver did!

  • I think cinematography will go to either True Grit or Inception. Deakins has said that he'll be shooting digitally from now on..so True Grit will be one of his last "films".

I also like The Social Network score, but I prefer Inception.

David Fincher MUST win for directing. I'll go crazy if he doesn't.

  • @CineRam What I meant to say is his last 'shot on film' not his last film or movie...

  • @CineRam I didn't know it was his last film or one of his last anyways. It's long overdue I think so it's far from a bad choice. I think he deserved it in 2007 for either No Country or The Assassination Of Jesse James but lost to There Will Be Blood. It had great cinematography too but I would've picked Deakins for Jesse James.

Fincher better win! Tom Hooper did a good job with The King's Speech but Fincher was better in my opinion.

  • @theInnerdvdPattern if you get a chance to see Gasland see it, not as good as exit through the gift shop but still a great doco to watch.

  • @FantasticMrTySha How To Train Your Dragon is very good too but lik you said it has no chance to win. I also think The King's Speech is good but it didn't blow me away. I hoping The Social Network will take it.

  • i seriously think toy story 3 has some competition with how to train your dragon. i KNOW that toy story will win. pixar wins every year basically. but how to train your dragon was my favorite. the social network should win best film. screenplay and score. it was the best film deff. i seen the kings speech and thought it was good but didnt understand why it got tons of attention like it did. same with the hurt locker last year.
