  • no. not at all. the whole new album was in defense of the "emo" genre of music. the whole point being ANY good music has emotion. ADMIT IT was about the people who are non-conformists and think theyre better then everyone else for it. ^_^

  • Emo does exist. It's a genre of music. It has to do with lyrics and instrumental content.

The lyrics contain emotional words or words speaking of emotion(ie. love, anger, etc).

The intruments are very dramatic and moving, being quite melodic.

Though "emo" as a genre has died away and has simply become a trend, emo is still something to look for. One example is a Metalcore band called Killswitch Engage. Though he is screaming, it's still emo. Try the song "Arms of Sorrow" No screaming.

  • lmao @ these 13 year olds commenting on what music is. EVERY genre is "emotional" or it would mean nothing

  • I love the Juicy hook in this song...

  • @supersexyninjajunjun and admit it was not on defense of the genre

  • @supersexyninjajunjun ps. the emo your speaking of is not a genre of music, it is a style . . . the only genre of music that is called "emo" is from the late seventies and it was verry similar to music like the fast paced punk music today but with complete and utter different meaning and feel to which never really took on. Then the 00's came around and "emo" style got big. People only refer to music today as emo because of the type of people that listen to it, not the sound of the music itself.

  • @supersexyninjajunjun lol whatever, interpret it how you want . . . i take it as he was making fun of exactly what you said in your first comment, non-conformists that think they're better than everyone else, which during the early 2000's, when this song came out, "emo" was the "non-comformist douche fad" that was popular, and the whole i got my car and my guitar is him saying im happy with what i got and don't care what's cool, i just wana keep doing what im doing

  • @theillestkids Admit it! was him saying "people suck" and then later in the song "wait....I'm exactly the same. I suck too. Oh well I got my car and my guitar and I'm doing what I love."

  • No soul? But no one is this band is ginger.

  • @supersexyninjajunjun Admit it made fun of emo's lol . . .

  • @Golzernurf I'm pretty sure I love you for being the only one out of every single comment for realizing the biggie smalls sample :)

  • emo is gay shit like three days grace or atreyu where theres "corporate emotion" to sell. I'm not a fan of this band, I was just interested in hearing the BIG sample, but these guys are true musicians who have musical integrity which is very lacking on the radio nowadays, nuff said.
