FYI, this is Gary Donovans car. i believe on that setup it was somewhere near 300whp... The car has run 10.41 @ 112mph.

daytona uses k chassis, but omni is L body along with rampage and fwd charger. spirit rt and daytona iroc rt were the srt 4's of their day. bottom end not weak and no electric probs on any of my k based cars.

imports are fine cars and that's what's in style. but k's and their spinoffs were excellent for their day and can still throw it down when built up right thanks to platform engineering and aftermarket support. small domestics can be just as fun..it's just takes more imagination!

Gary's k 2 door has a built up auto trans and the car is really only set up for drag racing and no longer daily driver friendly. however, Cliff's k wagon was intended for everyday use and made insane power at 20 psi of boost. he sold it like 5 years ago to a guy who keeps a low profile. i'm building my k wagon along the same lines w/ hybrid 5spd, but with a few more aftermarket goodies on the chassis. i'lll be running an 8v 2.5 T1 w/ the T2 turbo and i/c . power will be more like 200/250tq

this is Cliff Ramsdell's modded 86 Reliant wagon. 2.2 TIII 16v spirit rt engine with the 2.5 stroker crank. shelby daytona suspension, spirit rt brakes, bigger turbo and front mounted isuzu intercooler. final numbers were 372hp and 417 ft lbs at the wheels.

Gary D has an 85 Reliant 2 door (color is gray also) stripped down to 2100 lbs with an 8v 2.5 turbo engine. best run of 10.41 at 130mph. i;ve seen the car and the video. check out the dodge garage dot com
