The singer of Everything You Want is telling the story in third person up until the very end where he switches to first person, revealing that he is indeed the guy the song is talking about. The video is pretty self explanatory; it's in Jacob's point of view, with him wondering how Bella could choose Edward over him when he was (in his eyes) the better choice.

The part towards the end where it says
"You'll just sit tight and watch it unwind, show me what you're waiting for..." is supposed to be Jacob talking to Edward, asking how he can just sit there and let Bella sort out her feelings for Jacob without fighting for her as strongly as Jacob is.

And the voice clip in the credits is supposed to be Jacob talking to Edward; asking how Bella could still choose Edward even after he left her in New Moon.

Wow if they actually casted Steven Strait as Jacob I think Robert Pattinson would actually have some real competition in Twilight. Because Steven actually reminds me of a man worth deciding for that makes me melt when he smiles whereas Taylor is more like boyish younger brother best friend.

Beside the fact that this is perfectly edited and that the music is fabulous and the casting was great, I would just like to say Gaspard Ulliel. If nothing else... Gaspard. Ulliel. It's my favorite video. Found this forever ago and recently re-looked it up to add it to my favorites because it still is my favorite

@pantysh0t I think Taylor was perfect for the role.Jacob is 16!he is a teenage boy,he is supposed to be like a younger brother/best friend. he is supposed to be immature, and youngish. i think all those times when bella went to Jacob for the extreme sports, would be for the immaturity of it. sh sees Jake as an escape from the overprotective Edward,when she wants fun. so in other words. Taylor was perfect for the role,SS seems to mature and would kill jacob... we don't want that,Jake all the way
