The Pittsburgh Zoo's & PPG Aquarium's African painted dog pups are almost two months old and definitely showing their wildness. On the hunt in their native Africa, the dogs will use teamwork to take down bigger prey. Here they try to employ the same technique against our vet tech's pants and our camera man's shoes. (Sorry about the poor sound - our microphone needs to be fixed).
Awww! They're so cute!

Also: a shame the microphone wasn't working properly. Their vocalizations _seemed_ to fall between a domestic dog's and the adult's chirping.

They're really beautiful! What's become of the mother—were they orphaned, or have they been separated from her for some reason?
Animals that combine savage and tender behaviors fascinate me. How painted dogs take their prey is chilling, and the bizarre chirping sound they make...it's more frightful than any horror movie I've seen! But the puppies have priority at the meal and the hunters make sure older and infirm members of pack always have food...it's touching. We should be so generous.
