As far as I remember, this is the first commercial using the "fool-proof formula for successful tv commercials: hire some models, buy the rights to a top 40 pop single, and show your product being used by the models while the single plays."

Alex Greenwald was always hysterical in these commercials - he mastered the art of looking like he'd rather be anywhere else but there, and always gave off that half-assing his role/hipster smart-aleck vibe. LOVE it.
