How to use a Blood Cannon | SHANKS FX | PBS Digital Studios

In celebration of Halloween, I've made a quick little video that shows how I turn an "Air Compressor" into a blood cannon. I used this technique in many of my past films, including "Bottlecap Assassins II", which has a couple of examples sprinkled into this Episode Extra.

What info did you use, if any, to learn what to use to get it working with an air compressor? Looking into having an electronic trigger to a PVC pipe to shoot paintballs

A lot of trial and error, u don't need too much air pressure when using a quality air compressor.

What mic is mounted on your DSLR out of curiosity? I'm looking to start getting beefier sound equipment.

RODE stereo shotgun mic. Cost around $175 dollars. I believe RODE has came out with a new one that is a little smaller. It's a must have for HDSLR owners who want better sound for "on the fly" shooting.
