We also purchased an LG PTAC. We have had nothing but problems with our unit.

It is so noisy (when the compressor runs) it sounds like a truck is in the room with the engine running. Lg is horrible to deal with and will not help us. I will never purchase another LG product!! I work in customer service and have talked to other service people about this issue. They all have had the same experiences and suggest staying away from LG products.

This is just BS. LG has really inferior quality products. We got 12 LG PTACs last year. 3 of them had multiple problems in first 12 months. LG made few attempts but haven't been able to fix the problems. Support is really bad as well. The support people who pick up the phone will ready from the script and wiil not let you talk to management.

Never buy LG PTACs.
