  • have you ever bored anyone to death ?... have you ever stuck your head in a turbine? ..did the flicker cause you to have a epiletic fit? ..how productive are you?If i built a large hamster wheel ..would you run it for me? Have you been exposed to a radio active leak ...and how noisy are you?Have any of your borthers or sisters any extra arms , legs ect?...Did you vote for bush?????

  • I have a feeling that UniteAgainstWind and WindIsNotGreen are the same dumb person.

Surprised I didn't hear a "Wind turbines are SO LOUD" argument, though. That would've been worth a laugh.

  • You are right. I should not try to be sarcastic on paper. It never works.

  • so why not just say what you just said in the first place .....it makes alot more sence

  • I have spent years arguing with pro-nuke types who say that windmills are not reliable because the wind does not blow full force all the time, they also say that windmills need to be maintained all the time, cause epilepsy, make all sorts of noise, chop-up birds... etc. ad infinitum. I wanted to know if all of the rhetoric is true. (likely it's not)

The pro-nukes say they would actually rather look at a cooling tower than a bunch of wind turbines. The last sentence should have given me away.

  • There's negative impacts of any electricity production. Impacts of wind are far fewer than most. And offshore wind can contribute a lot to electricity supply even if the individual turbine produces relatively little.

  • lol, it's better than oil or nuclear power.
