Mom knocks lion cub into the water

On Feb. 13, 2011, at the National Zoo in Washington, DC, I watched as a female adult lion began to groom a cub and knocked the cub into the water. Cute! The little guy wasn't hurt but you can see that he wasn't too happy about it!

@SuperJClaire A few weeks before this video was shot, the lion keepers at this zoo took all the cubs into this moat and had them all get some experience swimming. Lions are not known as great swimmers, but they all did fine. On the other hand, tigers are usually excellent swimmers.
