98% of the people saying Savage 2 is better either don't know Savage 1 or aren't any good at it. When Savage weren't freeware (2008) the game died in less than a year. Why? Because the existing community rarely supported the new game. Why didn't they support Savage 2? Simply because the original Savage is way better gameplay wise. When Savage 2 then became free a new playerbase of beginners (without mind for history) grew up which now spams S1 comment sections with their "Play S2, it's better".

Nah, I do not agree. I have played Savage and Savage Full Enhancement (I think it's called so) and I still prefer the Savage 2 game-play. I think that Savage improved on new version only. I see nothing worse than it used to be... I would like if there was something similar, but sci-fi type (I like sci-fi, that's why) :) But Savage is still something really nice and special.

You're terribly wrong if you think that beast range > human range TERRIBLY and allot more wrong if you think that melee beast< human i think you mixed that up the wrong way ^^ couse its the other way around RANGE human>beast MELEE beast>human it was always like that and it will always be :)

lol, thanks for pointing that out it was meant to read Beast > Human Melee and Human > Beast Range wpns.

I just played this game
but it seemed that the beasts were always pwned by the human's lightning gun (dunno how it is called correctly, anyway I mean the ranged weapon)

Beast actually end up winning more games when you look at statistics. Humans < Beast when it comes to range weapons. But Beast < Humans when it comes to melee. Also players individual skill plays a huge role.
