Culture Wire: Day of the Dead, Maya Lin, SOMArts

The October 2009 episode of Culture Wire is a whirlwind tour of San Francisco's cultural institutions.

First, Luis Cancel goes to the Mission Cultural Center to preview the Day of the Dead celebrations and to view original prints from Mexico.

Then, artist and architect Maya Lin talks about her new memorial "What is Missing?", which recently debuted at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park.
