Explosive new video blasts the justification for Alaskas current aerial wolf hunting program and rallies voters to end it. Using testimony from Alaska Department of Fish & Game staff, a master hunting guide, and Board of Game members, this video exposes the fallacy behind Governor Sarah Palins claim that predator control is based on sound science. Declarations that the program is for the benefit of subsistence hunters are shattered with documentation showing that sport and trophy hunters take up to 73% of prey in areas where aerial wolf hunting has taken place. End Aerial Wolf Hunting rallies support for H.R. 3663, legislation now being considered in the U.S. Congress which will close the loophole in the Federal Airborne Hunting Act that has been exploited to allow this practice to continue. Five years in the making, this video exposes the truth about the stranglehold the hunting lobby has on wildlife management in Alaska.
I know i'm refering to lion king but, what is the song the simba sings? "We Are One" that song has meanings in more than just one way. It means that we should learn to live with one another, but oh i forgot... If you look different, act different, talk different, and think different then you should just shut up and die right? WRONG! Wolves have feelings! They bleed the same color that we do. They kill to survive, we kill for sport and a trophy on the wall. it dont matter if your black, blue, etc

Results of this weeks public forum with the AK Board of Game. Native Alaskans and other subsistence hunters were WELL represented. Oh and the DOW folks were there WITH SIGNS. The results:
- Hunters allowed to place snares on the ground or trees to catch black bears.
- Hunters can fly into bear-bait and snaring camps using private helicopters
- State employees will use poison gas to kill orphaned wolf pups in dens
- Renewed existing wolf-kill programs
Thanks Youtube!! ROTFLMFAO!

Very Educational. I love the politics of Game management. We have big problems here with managing for high numbers to appease certain factions of the hunting community. Sometimes it leads to long term habitat degredation. ...I'm neutral on the wolf thing.

HAHAHAHAHA oh wow, I didn't know those numbers. Thanx!

What about the 1200-1400 wolves that are TRAPPED in Alaska every year people. Where's your sympathy? Ten times as many wolves are taken every year by trapping as were killed in this aerial wolf hunt. Doesnt it make sense to try and stop the death of many as opposed to that of a few? Is trapping more humane? What about the wolves that are shot on the ground by hunters with a $50 wolf tag on their permit? Where is your outrage? AHHH I didnt say the magic word...PALIN

Think this over-
Alaska has less population per square mile than any other state in the U.S.
For a state 2 1/2 times the size of Texas it has only 1/6 the population of Houston alone. If you were talking about the over population of New York I would agree.
The wolves are being managed for many reasons in Alaska but not due to human over-population. The use of planes is just the least expensive way to perform the management.

I am against aerial wolf hunting but I don't have a problem with the hunters hunting them on foot. If hunters wish to hunt wolves they should hunt them natures way.
