This is a hymnal (#296), Chris Tomlin add his touch. Another Great worship song for these days.
Hymnals are great, but you have to be able to reach the people of today. Chris is reaching out

  • I always play this song before I go to sleep along with my prayer to Jesus every night. Always leaving me crying tears of joy remembering that He loves me. Beautiful song, Chris. Thank you.

  • amen to this beautiful song! Chris Tomlin is Christ's way of touching this generation... thanks for uploading

  • @raj26may Why? If it is all for God, what does it matter who is singing it? If anything, Chris Tomlin's version is more passionate.

  • Oh My God!!!! I just have to sing this in a service. I've played it many times in our worship band but, I've never been so inspired to sing it as a special. The Holy Spirit is really on the move and speaking clearly... Please listen up people.. Be sure that you have ears to hear.....

  • Im singing this as a solo for my Church in the classical music service,I think it'd be cool if they start off singing the first verse and chorus of the old version then I sing the new version.I think it would be a pretty cool experiment.

  • @raj26may Martin Luther brought singing to the congregation. The Evangelicals stole the tunes of drinking songs. Slaves taught us to sing from the heart. But none of them sang TO Jesus. Even in this song, it was always ABOUT him. I think we need to celebrate what worship music has become as much as what it has been.

  • Beautiful...thank you!

  • @raj26may Not to be disrespectful or argumentative, but I had never heard the original and this is great to me. So it's really just a matter of opinion. If it gets someone thinking more deeply about Jesus our Savior, who cares what it "meddles" with? I don't mean that in an ugly tone.
