Democracy (mob/majority rules) might work if everyone was actually "equal" or "on the same level". But we're not. Do you feel equal to corporations, interests, lobbies and politicians? The USA was founded as a Republic, where reason and rational leadership ruled.

I agree with you on the Equality in a democracy but you do realise thats what society is aiming at.
It's not like we're already THERE.
And so I don't think we can take it as a 'given' the way you have.
I mean SURE i want it to be like that. But its not. And how many times have we faltered in this respect? and 'in the flow of the moment' (or whatever ) thought that what we do and think IS actually better than what the other think. And do.

I got news for you, and hope you follow me: THERE IS NO full DEMOCRACY in this world. It does not exist, it has not been realized by now, and probably will not be. Everything else is an illusion. The elite is not interested in a system where allegedly stupid people like you or me can decide over other people's fate. They make sure you and me are quiet. If we're not quiet, there is money enough for great propaganda informing people like you and me. Wake up!
