@captainamerica1967us It's Mariah lol. Maria is pronounced Mar-ee-uh, Meanwhile in this song it's Mariah, Mar-eye-uh trust me. it's my name !

Actually, the song They Call the Wind Maria is a Broadway song written
in the style of a folksong. It is from the 1951 stage musical Paint Your Wagon
by Lerner & Loewe (My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, Camelot).

Aha! I was expecting this to be "in the style of" -- imitating -- the Kingston Trio, which I love. But I listened. It seems just a liiiitle bit monotone, not a great range of expression, or even volume. It's a little like... a narration? Except that I think the singer has a very nice voice. Perhaps it is only softer and more mournful than I'm accustomed to hearing.

Unique and very nicely done, Hugo. My daughter Diane and I also did this one on my channel in contravention to the Kingston Trio's fine version. I do have an affinity to Lerner and Lowe's original, however...much closer to yours. Amicably, John
