Comparing AoE to this has no sense....Age of Empires focuses only on war.

Europa Universalis focuses on everything: government, economy, diplomacy, war and even religions. It's the maximum expression of strategy, SO only hardcore strategy gamers would like it. The rest of the players will find it boring.

Just to imagine, you can play from 1339 from 1820, imagine fighting those battles, like millions of'em...
