Finger nail dance is original Lanna Dance not Thai dance. Lanna is not Siamese we had integrate into Siam 150 years ago. Our Music, Dance and other cultures have been influenced by China and Myanmar. I feel uncomfortable about everybody who discuss with Khmers and Siamese culture with our dance presentation. If both of you want to discuss more about Siamese and Khmers plese don't do it in this video . Cause this is a video of Lanna culture not Siamese not Khmers.

If you know your history you know that with the fall of Angkor the Siamese court took the entire dance troop back to Ayutthaya so that the Siamese court could be taught the culture of the Khmers, so in a sense the Siamese preserved Khmer culture by adopting and developing it in its own court. Culture is fluid, you can't copy it, it influences and shapes each other. Just think about it, modern Cambodian "ballet" also uses the dress of the Siamese Court not just the Khmer costumes.
