Hampshire Guitar Orchestra (HAGO) play their version of Luc Levesque's Paysage Iberique - a fun and atmospheric guitar piece that our Musical Director Derek Hasted has re-arranged to suit our different pitches of guitar - in this piece we play 3 different sizes of guitar - prime, bass and contra.
Paysage Iberique was recorded live at West Sussex Guitar Club in April 2009, when HAGO played a fund-raising concert for WSGC in the presence of the Mayor of Bognor Regis.
HAGO is always looking to welcome new players who share our sense of fun and musicianship - we have vacancies at a variety of standards, and the unusual sizes of guitar are owned by the orchestra itself, so you are free to try them out!
Thanks to Sasha Levtov for the original video footage of this piece.
Paysage Iberique is on sale at Productions d'Oz - it's a lovely piece!
