This video documents the carving of a mask carved from linden wood. This particular piece of wood had some lovely mineral staining that gave the wood a silvery blue streak down the center. The wood is a pleasure to carve, nice even grain that cuts smoothly with sharp tools. The finish on this piece was wax.
