And talking of TRUE christians- there has been so much bullying by the republican party against non- republicans. McCain goes on about Obama wanting to spread the wealth- I ask- What is more Christ like than sharing wealth?

The reason: no man has ever gone their entire life w/out committing sin. I sin every day and fight it constantly like Paul speaks of in I Cor. He went from killing Christians to being converted to one. Quite the crazy story, among other miracles of the supernatural Bible. He either did not exist, existed and was God because he did not sin, or existed, sinned, and was therefore a "arkam joker type" insane or worse a straight up liar. I choose to have faith that he was who he professed to be

What I want to know is why all these devout christians feel so threatened by other faiths or teachers. They are so terrified. Why is their world so fragile that they have to condemn others or censor free speech?

Why should his message be more complicated than it needs to be? I would not underestimate this man, if he is there to educate a large group of people who are mostly unfamiliar with buddhism, then it would make sense that he would make it as understandable and simple as he possibly could. if you dont think it was intellectual enough for you, why dont you try reading any of his books, because if you can follow what he is saying, i can almost guarantee that it will be enlightening for you.

Yeah I know....I honestly didn't really think I said anything that offensive just pointing out that it's an article of faith that is impossible to prove not historical fact. The only reason I respond to these type of things is to make them actually back up their statements instead of just spouting off fake information like this person did. I just think it's about time more people call these kind of things out a bit.....whats wrong with a little questioning anyway right?

Probably because, as popular as the Dalai Lama is, he needs Dave Matthews more than DM needs the DL. And that probably has to do with him fighting for peace and the sovereignty of his people and to generate the political will to take a stand on the Tibet issue. DM is just trying to sell records, and I don't find anything wrong with that, but I like to keep my perspective on things.
