Hello friends! This is the title track I wrote for the first Jazz Ethics CD in the early 1990's. Its one of those strange instances when a song just comes out all at once and was written in about 15 minutes... Even the line "campaign's calling on the telephone" was put in because while I was writing the song the phone rang and they were taking a poll for a political election. I've done several versions over the years. (you know me, I just keep tweaking things). This is our latest version featuring the fine talents of everyone in the band.... Dianne Kahal on lead vocals, Kevin Truman on drums & back-up vocals, Craig Friedman on bass, Lee Berman on sax, and me, Lar Wolkan on guitar & back-up vocals (video taped by Zak Wolkan). Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy it!! Lar

  • HI Sun! Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! Lar

  • That was a great song Lar!!!!! Excellent performances all round!!! Is that a Gretsch bass Craig is playing? I don't think I've ever seen one of them before. Great solo-ing!!!

  • Thanks Pete! Yep, its a Gretsch bass... It has a real nice hollowbody sound... Its a special item pre-release, kind-of a proto-type model that he got from a Gretsch dealer many years ago.... Craig has some really exceptional beautiful basses in his arsenal for sure! Lar
