  • pls i am not clear about what do u do with the yarn when u changing colors, I understand how u make the change I just don't know what to do with the previous yarn. Do I cut it or it stays attached. How i end it off ?pls advise

  • Yes, you cut it each time. Remember to leave a bit of a tail so that it won't unravel. If you can, crochet the tail into the next row, that helps it to stay better and be less messy on the inside of the hat.

  • The full pattern for this hat is located in the more info section of video #1 of the tutorial.

  • I was watching the video and for round 7-11 you have 1dc in next 8 sts, 2 dc in next st. around)* join with ss, ch 2. In the instructions on the sidebar you have 1dc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in next st. around)* join with ss, ch 2.

Is it 2dc or 2 hdc?

  • Oh MY! Thanks for catching that!!!! It's 1 DC in each stitch around. I will fix that immediately!

  • could you make me one? lol seriously

  • You can check the 2009 Crochet collection video for the link to where they are on sale. I'm not doing custom orders at this time but you may be able to find something you like over there.

  • Will this pattern also work with cotton yarns? I live in TX, where it is perpetually hot, so I need something cooler like cotton to wear down here (especially during the spring and summer).

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I am a beginner and it went very smooth following ur lead. My hat turned out wonderful. Do u have the pattern or can you do a tutorial of the mesh and/or lightweight beanie? THANK YOU!!!!

  • Hi Pinky, where can I get a written pattern from you?
