its cool to see that atleast one country can recognize when we are always the first to pour all our resources into helping another country after a disaster. even though i do see hatians burning U.S. flags on the news quite often

Please don't flame at my question, but honestly why must they chant 'USA'?

I mean, America's aid to devastated places is most laudable, but do they really have to announce their country's humanitarian act? It would have made more sense if they chanted something in support of Haiti, but they just had to "grandstand," for lack of a better term.

@random comedy01 You don't see other countries spending millons on Haiti??? Where you've been in 2004 when thousands of brazilian troops took charge of the national security spending millions to restore the peace.

the conspicuous lethargic response by the u.n in the aftermath of the quake in haiti proves many of the shortcomings of this organization. the u.n does a good job of bringing aid to the needy, however, in catastrophic events where immediacy reigns and lives need to be saved, it proved completely ineffectual. And yet, the u.s received criticism for taking a lead role in the aid effort. Unfortunately lives were lost, but more would have died.
