Here is a video of me looping a track, laying down a bassline and synth loop, and recording live scratches using The Bridge, the partnership between Ableton Live, and Serato Scratch Live.

  • Thanks, Man! I am just using a generic midi keyboard playing synths in Ableton. i haven't taken this setup out yet. Would like to get a Macbook that could handle it first..

  • that's pretty catchy. have you had any luck linking traktor and live?

  • @KostikNYC Yeah, if you go back to all my vid there is one on traktor and ableton. They work well together. You can have then running separatly and just manually sync them like two different cdjs or you can have them sncyed by midi. You can have Ableton Midi Slaved to Traktor or vice versa depending on how you want them to interact. I found having Ableton slaved to Traktor with Traktor's Midi clock set to Master, not Auto, worked best for a similiar setup to this one.

  • This is really cool! What are you using for your electric piano? Have you "road tested" this setup? I want to eventually do something similar.
