Demonstration of Ladder Drills
There are many more variations than the ones shown in this video. This is not meant to serve as an exhaustive list but rather to show some common drills that can be used and mastered to improve athletic performance and anaerobic conditioning. Foot quickness and coordination are paramount in many sports and ladder drills help maximize these skills.

Coaching Tips
1. Full effort each rep!
2. Go as quickly as possible while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
3. Keep your feet underneath hips.
4. Stay close to the ladder.
5. Minimize foot contact.
6. Switch drills often to truly improve foot coordination and not simply pattern mastery.
Regression/Make it Easier
1. Go slow to learn rhythm.
2. Use both feet.
3. Only perform drills going forward.
Possible Progression/Make it Harder
1. Use single foot.
2. Perform drills laterally and backward.
3. Go quicker!
4. Invent new drill.
Benefits
1. Improves foot coordination.
2. Improve body rhythm.
3. Teaches feet underneath hips.
4. Increases foot quickness.
