The original sketch with the baby monster was far superior! Please Sesame Street, upload the original from 1969!

I remember that skit! The last time I checked, it was also up on You Tube.

If you talk to someone on the phone and arrived at your destination, you'd say, "I'm there" because it's far from them.

People use this and that interchangably, but they can't do that with here and there.

If I see someone far from me, I'd say, "I'm here and you're there."

I remember this vividly. It should of included an adult character to step in and outline the lesson which is, "Any place you are is here and any place you're not is there." Looking back on this sketch I think the lesson is kind of twisted. But what can you do?

This reminds of the one with the muppet with the long arms but no elbows, who could reach the fruit high in the tree, but not bring it to his mouth, so he needed his buddy with short arms and elbows to feed it to him. I think it was about cooperation or teamwork.
