  • This is my second time enjoying Black metal. It's strangely blissful.

  • this and weed.........uhhh im leaving this fuckin body!

  • @doolb666 Mine was not a sentence upon genre, it was an expression of admiration. However this goes forward towards avantgarde metal for the musical expression. The subsequent Nattern Madrigals is a classic harsh and wonderful black metal masterpiece, but this one is something going over...

  • @charcoalspirits addendum#2 interestingly, this marks also the end of the 5150 sound.

  • @doolb666 part 3. However, during the international rock re-empowerment movement/death to hip hop which happened in the mid 2000's many bands are actually regretting the decision to move away from the metal sound and are actually going back to their sound. Sadly, it appears that many of these bands are losing the sensibility that made them special during the early 90's and are providing mere metal. it's like a denial of melody is happening in some areas and it can be seen as a revolt

  • @doolb666 part2. In sweden, similarly, bands like Dark Tranquillity (basically any bands that was blessed by working with Dan Swano) started exploring a progressive rock dynamic to their music in order to move even further. the avant garde movement which flourished in France (mostly), greece, and Italy was not embraced as much and was not creating a following so Swedish bands decided to look backwards, at prog, to move forward and, as a consequence, many of them don't even play metal anymore

  • @doolb666 This belongs to the subtle era when metal bands wanted to explore new horizons and incorporate new elements to their genre. Ulver and many other Norwegian bands, unlike their Swedish counterparts, started embracing the folk aspect of black metal as it more genuinely correlated to their (now historical) ant-christianity (where christianity is not seen as the religion that kills tradition).

  • Damn, this rules.

  • This song brings back so many memories... oh the gold old days
