Another version of this piece, with better audio quality, has been uploaded to:

(The acoustical space is much better as well.)

A free-form interpretation of an old Sephardic chant. I don't think such pieces were meant to be played in too strict a time, and embellishment was expected. (Once again, no expertise in this sort of music, but I DO have a lot of sheet music. :) )

(*Please pardon the open shirt and my posture. It was a very hot, muggy night, I did not have this piece memorized & needed the music in front of me.)

  • Very tranquil and lovely.

  • Thank you! :) I think I will try to learn a few more pieces in this style tomorrow.

  • it gives me a feeling of terror, obscurity and mystery. beautiful performance

  • Thank you very much! I love your description; I should ask you do do write ups for me. ;) (And I should learn some more of this style of music..... my lament is always 'so much music.... so little time'!)
