  • Thanks, ptschafer. Felt certain this was a sonic boom -- one of several during the show. The camera didn't capture it but there were actually two distinct sonic booms. Apparently this is normal: one from the nose breaking the sound barrier and then the tail.

  • @ptschafer Wrong, the condensation can form a few miles under the speed of sound. The sonic boom is what determines if the speed of sound was reached.
