John McLaughlin & 4th Dimension - 5 Peace Band (soundboard)

Here's John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension live at the Juan Les Pins Jazz Festival, France in 2008. And though I'm often critical of John's more recent work, this is a simply superb band and set.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I have great hopes for the "official" new band (with Chick Corea) - when I see them at the Sydney Opera House next month.

But the music here sets a very high standard, indeed, to follow.

Do you have a link to this recording anywhere? I have the first part of the set and would love to find the last three tracks that I'm missing - Five Peace Band, Mother Tounges, and Light at the Edge of the World.

The song is as it says on the tin. Five Peace Band from the album Floating Point.

@whittonmatt  Yeah, well said mate. The guy is in a class of his own. I've seen him umpteen times live and there's always something new to shake your head at in disbelief at the quality of his playing!

saw John 3 times on this tour..flew around europe just to see it..Floating point is just another example of why John IS THE BEST!! Seen John about 12 times now and met him..We need more humans like this..!!
