Is Gordon Hinckley Lying about Polygamy on Larry King.

What does he mean or want us to understand when he claims polygamy was allowed when the Saints moved West?

It's a common practice to lieand deceive in Mormonism because if anyone told the truth then no one would join the church.

Gordon Hinckley seemed to prefer/needed to lie throughout his Media Campaign. Here he is lying over whether God was Once a Man.

Gordon Hinckley -Interview with Time: August 4, 1997 cover story, p. 56.

Question: Just another related question that comes up is the statements in the King Follet discourse by the Prophet.

Gordon Hinckley: Yeah

Question: ... about that, God the Father was once a man as we were. This is something that Christian writers are always addressing. Is this the teaching of the church today, that God the Father was once a man like we are?

Gordon Hinckley : I dont know that we teach it. I dont know that we emphasize it. I havent heard it discussed for a long time in public discourse. I dont know. I dont know all the circumstances under which that statement was made. I understand the philosophical background behind it. But I dont know a lot about it and I dont know that others know a lot about it.

Gordon Hinckley -Interview with San Francisco Chronicle, April 13, 1997

Question: There are some significant differences in your beliefs. For instance, don't Mormons believe that God was once a man?

Gordon Hinckley : I wouldn't say that. There was a little couplet coined, "As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become.'' Now that's more of a couplet than anything else. That gets into some pretty deep theology that we don't know very much about."

Gordon Hinckley Conference Report, Oct. 1994

On the other hand, the whole design of the gospel is to lead us onward and upward to greater achievement, even, eventually, to godhood. This great possibility was enunciated by the Prophet Joseph Smith in the KING FOLLET SERMON (see Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 342-62) and emphasized by President Lorenzo Snow. It is this grand and incomparable concept: As God now is, man may become!

JD 6:3-4, Joseph Smith, April 6, 1844, History of the Church, 6:302-17, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 345-346
GOD HIMSELF WAS ONCE AS WE ARE NOW, AND IS AN EXALTED MAN, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity, I will refute that idea, and will take away and do away the vail, so that you may see It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the character of God.. AND THAT HE WAS ONCE A MAN LIKE US; yea, that God himself the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth the same as Jesus Christ himself did; ... to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you,

  • The Video is alright without reading the words on the screen. It's decent.

  • @askbrothercross I know--it does get frustrating! Lol. Every so often I come across someone who will actually be nice and ask questions and wants to know and understand.

  • @cindybin2001 Please don't bother mixing with this crowd. Its pointless to argue with them. They wouldn't know the truth if it was dancing naked in front of them. They'd over analyze it, and force more corruption into it until they'd swear up and down its a banana in a clam tree. You know whats true. I know whats true. Do you really wanna argue with the peeps who think Bush planned 9/11 and Micheal Jackson's not dead? Doesn't matter what we say. They're not worth it.

  • @cindybin2001 " Oh yes! The Mormon church pays me big money to lie and recruit. It's all for the cult!!! Bwahahahahaha....2

No it does not. The LDS cult pay you nothing. YOU PAY THEM.

You are the victim and they are the beneficiaries of your money and sacrifice. They sit on big LDS company excecutive directorships raking in dollars while you sacrifice.

Pay Pray and Obey and don't forget to pay double tithe for the greedy HQ as mentioned in Ensign magazine as an example of faith.

  • @cindybin2001 " You still don't understand the doctrines of the church" I understand them.

White Skin for Valiants, Dark skin for less valiant and for unrighteous behaviour.

God has a body and multiple wives with bodies yet they can only produce spirits? Whats the point of bodies if they can't produce bodied offspring?

Tithe payers will get rich and blessed with dollars according to general CON ference.

More wives for the leaders in CK.

Just a few of the doctrines. :)

  • @cindybin2001 " Please do some research about it and The Word of Wisdom, how it came to be."

Smith stole the idea from the Temperance movements, like he stole the Temple Endowment from Masons after he went though his own freemason initiation ceremony.

I saw two JW's today door knocking and thought what a pair of complete idiots and fools believing they are in the only true church. And yet they think they are in 'the truth'? Victims of stupid cult leaders in New York HQ. lol

  • @ElderJoseph Oh yes! The Mormon church pays me big money to lie and recruit. It's all for the cult!!! Bwahahahahaha....

  • @cindybin2001 " Yes I know, I read all this over 30 years ago when I was first investigating the church. People think they are telling us things we don't know! "

If you know all these things you claim to know then its clear you are a first class cult recruit hiding information and liar for the cult.

Visit the official website is the most utter rubbish piece of advice cult recruits will give. All the ofifcial LDS sites are just Lying Media outlets for the cult.

  • @cindybin2001 He alread proved himself a hyporcrite. He made the word of wisdom and continued to drink until his liver nearly packed up lol he smoked cigars whilst riding through navoo as he was the mayor of navou

  • @canio888 Oh that's right, PURPOSELY try to "prove him a hypocrite". You still don't understand the doctrines of the church, and you don't want to. And no, I don't live in Utah.
