I thought that it was an improper application of the law. Oh well it seems that I have some research to do.
-
But 15? You'd think they would do some sort of investigating with that many filings. Assuming that there is any oversight by Youtube. On an unrelated note, I would like to apologize for calling coughlan "coughland". My bad.

The problem here isn't so much youtube, as it is the fact that copyright laws currently place the burden of proof on the accused, rather than the accuser.
-
Even worse is the fact that he thinks Tor actually makes it impossible to find him.
Sure, it makes it harder, but no where near impossible.
-
Not really. Not if the person is in another country. Either that, or it will be prohibitively hard to take them down if they are in another country besides America.
Which they are probably fully aware of.

look up "VenomFangX apologizes to the internets" if you haven't already. You can take this bitch to town.

Please don't mark ihatecoughlan's comments as spam. This is effectively censorship, which is what we're fighting against. At any rate, his comments should be visible so that people can see how much of a coward he is.

You must be a huge fan of his. As you piped up with a compliment to him, unrequested, and not asked for.
It will probably end with youtube shutting your channel down . Oh, and don't forget the emptiness you will have in your petty little soul for doing your part in destroying freedom of speech . I don't even like coughlan666 but he has the same right as you . Notice you haven't been blocked ? That's because people who are far better than you understand that no matter how much of a douchebag you are, you have a right to say what you need to say .

lol He wasn't taken down for violating the community guidelines. The DMCA has nothing to do with the subject of the video. He was takin down because someone lied and falsley claimed ownership over his videos. It's not freedom of speech or the subject matter at issue. The issue is false DMCA takedown notices or fraud as the law likes to call it.
