PS2 Longplay [018] Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

This is a longplay for the playstation game "Jak and Daxter : The Precursor Legacy." This game was created by Sony Computer Entertainment America and NaugtyDog.

What a fantastic game to add to the Longplay collection. This game features our hero "Jak" and his sidekick/joker "Daxter," as they start their journey toward finding a way to change daxter back into a human. This longplay features every place in the game explored and all of the "power cells" captured.

Some problems with capturing all (101) of the power cells was to make sure i showed the 2 secret power cells. One at the entrance of the spider caves, as also the one that can be obtained when riding the zoomber toward the red sages hut.

To obtain the power cell at the spider caves, you must have the yellow eco vents opened and be very speedy. Charge with some eco from the caves then run back up the stone steps towards the coal buckets then fire some eco and you should hit it. The other secret cell is a bit harder to get too. If the eco vent is opened and you can get yellow eco, use the eco on the stone wall just before entering the cave. If the vent is closed, go back towards the lava monster who throws rocks, hope off the zoomer, and head for the wall. Once at the wall, go to the right side of the wall and do a crouch jump and spin to make it over. then just jump to the other side to get the power cell. To get back over you just repeat the process but on the left side.

Oh my gosh jak and daxter , this was the very first game I got for PS2 ..that and Soul reaver 2 ..got this on the day it came out also , been 18 years since then and I still have it fresh and no scratches ...the box is a little worn but the cover is still new, good times good times

i wan to play this game again so bad! but my disc has a scratch and every time i pick up an orb, the game will freeze for 30 seconds to a minute. i have gotten every orb in the game up until i got to the red sages hut cuz thats when i got fed up of my game freezing over and over. and then there was a glitch where i tried to beat that guys zoomer record time of 45 seconds. the glitch changed the record from 45 seconds to 1 milisecond, which made it imposible to beat even if i got under 45 seconds

Hey sorry i am catching up on the series i have missed the first time around. I will be getting the ps3 collection soon but i am just curious what happens if you miss an orb? Can you go back later to find it?

i don't think that's truly the same one. i'm sure jason rubin and andy gavin went with a different approach with that before they had the final idea for jak II in mind. that and they flew into a rift gate, and at the end of this game it's a precursor DOOR

@benjamillion just imagine another jak game that is exactly like the precursor legacy! and dark jak would make it better too. oh and the jetboard. and NO guns. and i dont care if jak talks or not. cuz his voice was kinda lame in jak 2 but the voice actor stepped it up and did a better job in jak 3. when jak 2 first came out i thought it was so much better and the same with jak 3. but i just replayed all 3 jak games and honestly the first one was the best by far!!!!

i couldn't agree more. i don't know why naughty dog wanted to suddenly take a step in a more mature setting. i loved the humor and charm of the first jak

jak 2 and 3 could have been sooo much better! I never wanted guns. I wanted them to be just like the original jak game but with different levels and locations
