poor underpowered sub, that thing can reach up to 4 INCHES xmax and yours got to about an inch and a half

Well you can order book on the different levels of MECP certification, the first book is the basic book. You can go to MECPdotCOM and follow the links through the site to see if there are any places near you that administer exams. I have not heard of any actual courses just for the 12 volt industry, but in reality real world experience is the greatest course you can take. Just be ambitious and learn about the basics, then grow on that.

@JaBBeD lighting wires are nowhere near radio wires...her problem isn't at all related to a deck install... I've also had people come to the shop I work at and claim that their transmission is shifting 'kind of funny' since the install... customers generally attribute non-related problems to the last work they had done on their car...some BB installers are noobs, just as at any shop, but some installers worked for 20yrs at a great shop that closed down, and they take a job at BB for job security

lol last time i walked into best buy the mecp cert installer was talking to a lady who got a radio installed turned it on and her lights come on now when its on and off when its off :-P

@turb0tach1 Power Acoustik is straight garbage.. don't let the inflated 5500 watts fool you.. it isnt' all about power, consider signal to noise, amp class, and THD as well.. that amp isn't 5500 watts unless it got struck by a lightnight bolt

@JaBBeD depends which one you go to... you could also go to a custom audio shop and get a noob who isn't certified... MECP at least means that they understand electrical, and most shops dont care if you're certified or not

some cameras have a limiter so no more sound can pass through, resulting in a consant clear but uneven volume. and some cameras are BUILT differently, and some cameras CANT or CAN handle the pressure waves or sound waves created by the sub. obviously your can so go and fuck off, look at more videos on youtube and buy 20 cameras for your little experiment
