so..... there was 2 bands called the subhumans around the same time in punk????
confusing!

Do your research and you'll find out why Wimpy Roy ended up playing with DOA. It wouldn't have mattered if they were US or British from what happened. IMHO, these guys were one of the best band I ever saw. They are fast and tight during their changes, which shows how in tune they were as musicians......if only they could've kept going throughout the 80's.... they would have been huge.

Still have my Incorrect Thoughts cassette tape!

Can you imagine how HUGE the Subs' would have been if they were American or British?

@thechriswheelie Jello Biafra was (is) a huge Subhumans fan.

Every band in Seattle has been trying to cop this for the last 10 years.

Wonderful! Thanks so much for posting. Y'know how The Subhumans are often victims of ill-informed youtube mockery ('they ripped-off DOA', 'this ain't the Sub/Hum/Ans', etc., etc)... anyone ever wondered how much this classic may have 'influenced' the riff for "Holiday in Cambodia"?

I'd never presume to say who was the best in Van from that era. There were alot of great bands, and there were a few who I thought sucked balls. But, who the fuck am I to judge! Hierarchies are for suckers.
I will say this - invariably, I had more fun at Subhumans' shows. The energy was palpable.
Great post. Thanks for putting it up.
