It's been a long time since I've rigged anything, but I think used an ik spline (for the spine and tail). Found a quick way to make it in some internet tutorial. I dont know if it's the best way of working. I had a load of hastle with some aspects, but im not a rigger and most definatly not an animator.

It's also kinda strange coz i was searching youtube for squirrel animation because i happen to be in the ncca doing a squirrel in my motion reference project :D
May i ask how you went about rigging the tail? Some people are telling me to use ik spline, but others are telling me thats its not very nice to use and not really worth it.
