mine works great! Im going to replace the meter as it is faded and the backside is all brown and crispy from age. I took it to my tech and he did say it was one of the first ones made. The 148, 142, and the 2000 were introduced in late 1978 early 1979 after the FCC banned the 858 pll.

Wow it looks identical to the 148gtl that i have here, wonder if it is the era? I well have to take apeek at the rear plate and see, i bet she is. thanks for uploading this video and showing me the RX thingy, guess it is normal after all. thanks bud.
