  • @spaghettiandlettuce yes...yes it is

  • Is that the asian kid from goonies?

  • YES!!!!

  • Why the hell did I expect the Dr. Jone song by Aqua?

  • Nice

  • i'm gonna listen to the original Mr Jones now...

  • @JumbledFilms

Yeah, the fridge thing was pretty far fetched, to say the least. I didn't like it. I'll agree with you on that part.

The being old part though... well... I felt bad at first... but then when you saw him in action... he'd really barely lost a step and was pretty damn impressive. He sure wasn't lying in a hospital bed waiting to die.

  • @Ryakki Exactly. But it wasn't just that plot element, I didn't like to see Indiana Jones settle down as an old man and finally retire and shit like that, it's exactly like it was in Godfather III; nobody wants to see freakin Michael Corleone as a dying old man. Also, Indiana has survived some improbable shit in the past, but surviving a nuclear bomb by hiding in a refrigerator is just ridiculous... there was just a bunch of small things that didn't put the film up to par with the others.

I liked both sides of it, honestly. I thought they both fit decently.

As for if there are aliens out there more advanced then us... could go either way, there's really no way to determine that without observing some. And then it only gives us information on those particular aliens.

  • @Ryakki I understand that, of course the odds are literally 99.999999999%, with the infinitely expanding universe and such, I believe in extraterrestrial life. However, Indiana Jones films have always been based in fantasy, such as the holy grail or the temple of doom; and aliens (which are a sci-fi element) just didn't seem to fit into that atmosphere. Also, there's a difference between our perception of "aliens" and actual extraterrestrial life. Chances are they aren't more advanced than us.
