  • Pastor Charles Nicks was stronly influenced by the COGIC. Remember Free Spirit. Even if your life was touched by the life of Pastor Nicks for just a season, one thing for certain is that the memories displayed in this presentation are still alive and well as is the spiritual prowess gained as so eloquently stated in Deuteronomy 32:7.

We thank God for where God has planted us in ministry today and Rev. Nicks’ legacy has helped equipt us to do greatness for the Lord. To God be the Glory!

  • Who arranged this? I want to kknow him (or her).

  • Thats Right.

  • Thank you for pointing that out, MILAN G BROWN JR was my father. BEATRICE BROWN was my grandmother. As a youngster, I was at several of THOMAS A DORSEY'S NATIONAL CONVENTION OF GOSPEL CHOIRS AND CHORUSES, and had the privilege of knowing many of the greats in gospel music. I will never forget.

  • Sho u right, MILAN G BROWN was my father

  • Lord Have Mercy I haven't heard this song since we buried Brother Luther George 18 years ago.....

  • BaptistBoi,

this song was written in the Church Of God In Christ many years ago but in my opinion it's a song for the entire Body Of Christ not just us COGICS!! like you just stated you hear this song everywhere!! that's exactly how it should be.

    God Bless.

  • Had no idea this was a "COGIC" song...It has been sung by all denominations, at least in the Virginia Beach, VA area because I grew up in the Baptist church and we used to sing it all the time as well as a couple AME churches that we fellowship with...it's a song that I have heard sung everywhere!!!
