"Sinners" By Hypernova is a fluid stop-motion video created by Producer, Director and Director of Photography Richard Patterson. The video is unique in that its composed of 16,000 individual photographs. Scenes were lit with up to ten (10) state-of-the-art Profoto Pro 8a Air flash packs with Profoto Light Modifiers as principal light sources. The camera was a Canon 1D Mark III camera shooting at 10 FPS and a PRO Steadicam rig utilizing a RedRock Micro DSLR camera support system.

sadly i thought the behind the scenes was much more interesting than this clip itself. Then again, the video's good, not great but good. The song's complete crap though.

first saw the making of and now i saw the final result.

The music and the video are very cool. It really takes the best parts of still photography (image quality, strobe lighting) and combines it with the best parts of cinema (fluid motion with steady cam). I especially like how the strobe lighting freezes the splashing water in the tub.

Also gave me some ideas shooting a surf vid I am working on--Canon XL-H1 and the 1D MarkIII--could be pretty cool!!!

WOW, a lot of angry comments here. I think the band is great and WELL DONE on the video. I agree with asphaltjunkiez comments, Richard made technology work in different way and it came our wonderful. I especially like the lighting.
