Demi's P.O.V
I sighed as Joe pulled into Friendly's. I was in no mood for this, my heart was broken. There was no way some ice cream was gonna fix it. I flinched, i saw her long brown hair and heard him laughing. Oh, that laugh was so amazing. A tear fell down my cheek, there was no way i could face them. Joe reached over and grabbed my hand, no matter what happened he was there. Yeah me and Selena are really close and i tell her everything, we don't have that bond me and Joe do. It's always him that rushes to my side whenever i'm hurt.
Joe: We don't have to go in if you don't want to.
Demi: I-I have to, i need to get over him.
Joe:(he smiled lightly) That's my girl.
Demi:(i wanted to get out of the car, but i was frozen in my seat. i said i was ready to face him, why can't i get up? i looked at Joe who was already rushing to my side)
Joe:(he opened the car door and picked me up. he turned around closed the car door with his foot and gently put me down) You can do this i know you can.
Demi:(i grabbed his hand lightly as we walked into Friendly's and sat at the ice cream bar)
Waitress: What would you two like?
Joe: 2 vanilla milkshakes please.
Waitress: Comming right up (she smiled and walked away)
Miley:(she walked up to us) Demi? Is that you?!
Demi: Y-Yeah, it's me.
Miley: Oh my gosh! You look so different, i mean you're hair color and your red puffy eyes.
Joe: Miley, i think you should leave.
Miley: Shutup loser. How you dealing with me and David together?
Demi: Fuck off Miley, leave me alone. (tears filled my eyes, i turned and faced the menu. i closed my eyes trying to hold back my tears)
Miley: Pathetic loser (she laughed and made her way back to david)
Joe:(he put his arm around me and whispered in my ear) Don't listen to her, she's a bitch.
Demi:(i hugged him tightly crying into his chest, i could say i was over David but i knew i wasn't. everyone knew i wasn't) Joe, don't leave me side.
Joe: I won't, i promise you.
Waitress:(she handed us our milkshakes) Here are your milkshakes (she winked at Joe and walked away)
Joe:(he rolled his eyes and looked back at me, i was crying even more) Demz, i can't stand seeing you cry, please stop. I know you're in pain, but there are better ways to deal with it then crying. (he cupped my face) A beautiful girl like you shouldn't cry
Demi's P.O.V
I slowly nodded my head, as i let Joe wipe away my tears with his thumb. We just sat there in silence sipping our milkshakes. Joe didn't try to say anything because he knew that's what i needed, i needed sometime to think. To think about why David left me, why he was cheating on me with Miley. He took my hand and squeezed it tightly. As if he was trying to say "everything's gonna be okay, you shouldn't cry over him" i wanted to believe him, but it was just so hard.
Joe: Wanna go home and watch a movie? (he said in a little bit of a whisper)
Demi:(i nodded my head) Yeah, i'd like that.
Joe:(he paid for our milkshakes and we left quickly. he noticed David and Miley watching us. he knew i didn't want to make contact with us)
David:(he ran up to us and grabbed my arm) Hey baby, wanna come home with me and miley? (he smirked)
Demi:(i pulled my arm away and moved closer to Joe) Get away from me, i h-hate you. (i shocked myself with the words i had just said they weren't true. i still loved him, i just said that to get him away)
David: Is the little girl afraid? (he said stepping closer)
Joe:(he stood in front of me) Walk away Henrie. Go home and fuck your slut.
David: She's standing right behind you. (he smirked walking away)
Demi:(i fell to the ground sobbing, i can't believe he just said that) J-Joe!
Joe:(he picked me up quickly and put me in the car. he ran to the other side and got in) Shh, shh Demi. (he pulled me onto his lap rocking me back and forth) Everything will be okay baby doll. You'll be fine.
Demi:(i shook my head crying into his chest)
Joe: I'm here for you Demi, i'll always be here.
Demi's P.O.V
I looked up at Joe wrapping my arms around his neck and placing my head on his chest. I felt so comfortable in his arms, he was the most amazing friend i could ever ask for. He kissed the top of my head gently and rubbed my back trying to calm me down. I loved Joe he was like a brother to me, always there for me. Always repearing all the broken hearts and at a time like this, i needed him.
