  • Great. You manage to get that 1928 authentic sound. Looks like that old Stella is the type of guitar that gets your fingers bleeding after 5 minutes of playing(lol). I enjoy pre-war acoustic blues. I try (keyword:try) to play some of those songs on a Takamine, but I got a long way to go on highway 51. Anyhow, keep up the good work. Do you take requests? ;-))

  • Thanks! I appreciate your comments. Believe it or not this guitar plays like butter... I got it restored professionally... see the link on my channel page if you're interested. Requests... try me!! Take care, Dan

  • Really liked your playing of this piece. Great driving chunky sound. The guitar seems ideally suited to the task. Would I listen to it again? Yep!

  • Thanks for the kind words!

  • A great performance! I love the way you play those seamless guitar breaks. It's a rocking and inspiring rendition! Thanks.

  • Thank you for your encouragement.. I appreciate it! Take care, Dan

  • Very cool. Nicely done!

  • great sound, tight. most of the covers of this are more loose. Part of it is that punchy old stella. You and the stella are a great team.

  • This is by far the best version of this song I've been able to find online. At first I thought this song was very simple but, man, it's kicking my butt.

  • I'm so jealous! You should be on Home Spun instructional videos! Resurrect that rag time!

  • Really nice rhythm going there! and beautiful stella...more volume than one would expect from a concert size.

  • Great version. I love the song, especially the live version where he seems to be too embarrassed to the sing the lyrics! (MJH I mean...)

  • Rhythym is awesome. I like the sound of the palm mute on the bass.

  • Man that's a nice guitar. Does it feel different from a straight classical or a steel acoustic? How's the action - sounds wicked.

  • thats great, MJH is the business

  • good take, though i fukin hate this song

    but you are very good
