Fridays Hope for Haiti telethon to feature Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z and more.. Beyonce and Madonna have been added as performers to Fridays multi-network Hope for Haiti Now telethon, and Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and former President Bill Clinton are now among the participants. According to the Associated Press, a statement released today said Beyonce would perform from London and Madonna from New York City.

The list of musical performers already includes superstars Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Keith Urban and many more. Its a big world out there, and we all have a lot of responsibility to look out for people who cant look out for themselves, telethon organizer George Clooney (pictured left) said in an MTV interview that aired tonight. If I thought we could all pick up shovels and go in there and help without being in the way, I think a lot of people would do that. According to the AP, an estimated 200,000 people were killed after a powerful earthquake struck Haiti last week. The two-hour telethon will begin at 7 p.m. Friday. It will be shown on all the major networks as well as MTV, VH1, CMT, BET, PBS, CNN, Bravo, and a host of other networks. In addition, the telethon will be streamed live on Web sites including YouTube, MySpace and AOL.

Hope for Haiti will be broadcast from New York, London, Los Angeles and Haiti. Haitian native Wyclef Jean will anchor the show from New York, while George Clooney will do so from Los Angeles. CNNs Anderson Cooper will report from Haiti. People can begin donating even before the start of the concert via phone and text. Viewers can also download musical performances from the show via iTunes for 99 cents. Those profits will also be donated to Haiti relief.

Also, DiCaprio today announced he was donating $1 million to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, the relief effort led by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and one of the organizations benefiting from the telethon. The funds raised from the telethon will be donated to several relief organizations, including UNICEF, Oxfam America and Partners in Health.
