  • Ok, thanks for confirming my suspicions. It is not a big deal but it is for me, I guess..

  • your welcome. I thought it was strange at first, until I heard a sheikh explain. If I am correct atom is used in the Yusuf Ali translation? Sheikhs have said he has MANY mistakes in his translation, and that it's best to just stay away from it. And use another translation...

  • Very nice but I have one question.. Does the translation really says "Atom" ?

  • I believe the correct translation to be "smallest creature" like a gnat or fly. The correct translation is not atom. This was a term made up by men during the later part of this century.

  • Regarding the translation, I think even the translation of the Quran can't be as perfect as the Quran itself

The best thing for us, brothers and sisters, is to learn the language of Arabic. And then weep while reciting the Quran

  • People can make up their own minds about translations, as the quran is intended for people who have brains, common sense tells us that even the best of translations are incorrect, even me, when i hear it in arabic then read the translation i feel the massive difference in eloquence, really you can almost feel it in your blood.

So i think people just close their eyes and pick up on the words they know and try to make sense of what it means with the rest of the phrases, this way is better.

  • mashalah i love allah and the quran mshalah
